Our trip started out on the 14th of Feb. around 6:30am
from Waynesburg, PA. Out team arrived on Sunday, Feb. 15th around 3:30pm
at Bunnell First Baptist Church.
The church was nice enough to put our team up for the week in various
rooms they had available and a plus was they had hot & cold showers
for us to use.
We were able to grab dinner at a local restaurant on Flagler Beach, and
step in the ocean for a few minutes before making it back to Bunnell First
Baptist Church for an evening service they were having.

Oak
Ave Baptist Church
Monday morning we left around 7am for Oak Ave Baptist
Church which was about 50 minutes away from where we were staying.
When we arrived there was hot coffee, ice-tea and water waiting for us.
We weren't sure how long the job would take us but we managed to do it
in one day with God's help, good leadership and team work.
The folks there were extremely nice providing a great lunch for all of
us.
Mission trips gives everyone a chance to get to know each other a little
better and bringing our church family a little closer together.

Flagler
Beach

Daytona
Beach
On Tuesday, we ended up going to Daytona Beach for some
R&R and
Vitamin D.
Some of us ended the day with a heated game of basketball.

Bunnell
First Baptist Church
The church we stayed at was huge!
The basketball court/gym alone could hold our new church building we are
planning to build.

Flagler
West Community Church
On Wednesday our group went to St. Augustine and in the
evening we went to Flagler West Community Church.
Our youth and others that came went around the community before dinner
and passed out flyers telling people about this church and also about
the evening service we were having that night.
While they were gone our praise team setup and warmed up the vocals preparing
for the evening service. Pastor Stephen was in the back room typing away
so that the congregation had words to sing along with us.
The folks there fed us all a delicious southern cooked meal and after
that we had a small church service. We had enough of the praise team with
us so Trees of the Field led worship and Pastor Phil brought the message
that night.

St.
Augustine Light Station 1874
A few from the group ended up going to see this lighthouse
while others went to the alligator farm. Since we weren't able to see
a wild alligator this was the only thing left to do :)
We did spot a live armadillo, wild boar, deer, hawk with a fish in it's
claws and birds on our travels, but not alligators.

Thursday morning with only a couple hours of sleep we
all managed to get up at 3:00 am and pack up the rest of our gear into
our four vehicles.
We pulled out at 4:00 am and headed back to Pennsylvania.
We heard over the radio shortly after we left that Jacksonville, FL that
they ended up with
golf ball size hail. We did run into some rough weather on the way back
(Rain and snow) but God blessed us with safe traveling mercies and we
all made it back home safe and sound.
The kids seemed to travel really well on the entire trip.
I think the adults had to stop at the rest areas more than they did. The
weather held out great for us the entire time we were in Florida.
We want to thank everyone for your prayers while we were
away and for helping take care of things here at home in our absence.
